About Lauren.

Education & career

Lauren studied at McDaniel College and the University of Baltimore, and has worked since 2009 across her family's businesses — Arikan Accounting and Tax, Arikan Investments, and Arikan Acres, a poultry and goat farm in Jarrettsville.

In the House

Sworn in January 2019, Lauren serves on the Judiciary Committee and has held roles as Deputy Minority Whip and vice president of the Women Legislators of Maryland caucus.

Where she stands

Unapologetically conservative: pro-life, lifetime NRA member, opposed to sanctuary policies, supportive of voter ID, and focused on tax cuts, parental rights, and defending Maryland farmers and small businesses.
