Our Priorities

A Common-Sense Agenda for Maryland

Marylanders are not asking for bigger promises or louder political arguments. They want leaders who will address the problems affecting their families every day.

Together for a Better Maryland is focused on practical solutions, measurable results, and a government that puts residents first.

01 · Priority

Safer Communities

Support law enforcement, hold repeat offenders accountable, address juvenile crime, and ensure families feel safe in their homes and neighborhoods.

We will:

  • Support law enforcement and first responders.
  • Hold violent and repeat offenders accountable.
  • Strengthen responses to juvenile crime.
  • Protect victims and their families.
  • Improve recruitment and retention of police officers.
  • Ensure state and local agencies cooperate to remove dangerous criminals from our streets.

02 · Priority

Affordability

Marylanders shouldn't be forced to leave the state because taxes, energy bills, housing, groceries, and everyday expenses have become unaffordable.

We will:

  • Oppose unnecessary tax and fee increases.
  • Fight rising energy and utility costs.
  • Demand responsible state budgeting.
  • Reduce wasteful spending.
  • Protect retirees, working families, and small businesses.
  • Encourage policies that expand housing supply while respecting local communities.

03 · Priority

Stronger Schools

Every child deserves a high-quality education — with parental involvement, classroom accountability, safe schools, and resources directed toward student achievement.

We will:

  • Prioritize reading, mathematics, science, civics, and career preparation.
  • Support parental involvement and transparency.
  • Keep classrooms safe and orderly.
  • Expand career and technical education.
  • Protect resources for teachers and classroom instruction.
  • Demand accountability for educational outcomes and spending.

04 · Priority

Responsible Government

State government must live within its means, protect taxpayers, eliminate waste, and make decisions openly and honestly.

We will:

  • Increase transparency in state and local government.
  • Strengthen oversight of public spending.
  • Hold agencies accountable for failures.
  • Protect whistleblowers.
  • Reduce political favoritism and backroom decision-making.

05 · Priority

Economic Opportunity

Support small businesses, reduce unnecessary regulations, encourage job creation, and make Maryland more competitive with neighboring states.

We will:

  • Reduce unnecessary regulations.
  • Support entrepreneurs and family-owned businesses.
  • Expand workforce development programs.
  • Encourage good-paying jobs and private investment.
  • Improve Maryland's competitiveness with neighboring states.
  • Invest in reliable transportation, energy, and digital infrastructure.

06 · Priority

Quality of Life

From roads and infrastructure to parks, agriculture, healthcare, and local services, we'll fight for the communities that make Maryland special.

We will:

  • Invest in roads, bridges, transportation, and water infrastructure.
  • Support reliable and affordable energy.
  • Protect parks, farmland, and open space.
  • Strengthen local services families depend on.
  • Improve transparency surrounding major state projects.
